Hamak Gold has a very experienced board of directors with vast experience, expertise and knowledge of the mining sector in West Africa and Liberia in particular in a range of commodities including gold.
Hamak Gold’s projects are located in Liberia, an under explored country for gold, with strong potential for sizeable discoveries, that is geologically similar to other gold producing countries surrounding Liberia, such as Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire and Sierra Leone.
The Gozohn and Nimba licences held by Hamak Gold are subject to intensive artisanal gold mining.
Detailed soil, rock chip and channel sampling has identified significant gold mineralisation in both Nimba and Gozohn that requires drilling.
Hamak has entered the market at an attractively low valuation compared to its regional exploration peers and exploration success may see a valuation re-rating for the Company.
The gold market remains strong and supported by continued economic uncertainty as well as vast government financial interventions as the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Liberia – a new frontier for gold exploration:
Liberia is a stable but under-explored country compared to geologically similar neighbouring West African countries, a promising new frontier for gold exploration.
Two Liberian gold exploration licences Nimba and Gozohn and options on five more Lofa, Fasama, Cestos, Sinoe and River Gee together covering 4,965 sq km. CPR completed by experienced Competent Person.
Highly prospective geology for gold with active artisanal workings in many licences.
Significant increase in Liberian gold exports since 2007 to currently >7,000kg p.a.
Mapping by USGS in 1970’s identified over 600 gold occurrences in Liberia.
Recent exploration and development led by Avosero Resources, MNG and Hummingbird identified large scale resources.
Hamak’s licences all have favourable geology and structures for gold.
Nimba and Gozohn licences in particular have intensive artisanal workings indicative of proximal bedrock gold sources and will be prioritised for detailed exploration.
